Filipinos are the fifth-largest migrant community in Australia, and within this network is a growing plethora of Pinoys who regularly contribute to the wider arts and culture ecosystem.
My line of work as a facilitator, writer, marketer and producer brings me in congregation with countless of Filipinos. So after years of exchanging names and recommendations through social apps, emails, screenshots and pieces of paper, I decided to build an opt-in list in September 2024 that could be shared around easily.
In Tagalog, βbarkadaβ means βgroup of friendsβ. In this spirit, π½ππ§π πππ ππ£πππ is a new crowd-sourced list for Filipino diaspora in Australia to connect, amplify talent, share work or interests, and to explore potential ways to gather and connect!
